Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Wilmington man given counterfeit money

A local man is out $100 today, simply for being nice. This really could happen to anyone trying to be helpful. We were contacted by a local man who was basically robbed, but it didn't involve a gun and he wasn't attacked.

Pedestrian killed in accident

One man is dead after an early morning accident in Wilmington. The man was struck and killed around 10 a.m. when between South College and Holly Tree Roads.

Wachovia: housing downturn far from over

The chief risk officer at Wachovia says the downturn in the nation's housing market is far from over. Don Truslow told analysts on a Deutsche Bank Securities conference call today that it feels like the downturn has a ways to go.

New hearing for Ag-Mart

The State Pesticide Board will hold a new hearing this summer on whether tomato grower Ag-Mart forced workers to stay in fields that had just been sprayed with chemicals.
