Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear looks to a world in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.  It is celebrating 25 years of providing case management, transitional housing, and emergency shelter to families in need.  The 25th Anniversary Celebration Low Country Boil has a happy hour, dinner, and entertainment from comedian Orlando Jones.  

Wilmington school closes doors for a week due to flu

videoA Wilmington school is closed for a week to stop the spread of flu. The Calvary Christian School's administrator said a large percentage of students and teachers are sick. Suspending classes for the week is his solution to stopping the illness in its tracks.

Brunswick County looks to change dangerous dog ordinances

Brunswick County is getting closer to changing its ordinances regarding dangerous dogs. Health director Don Yausey told the Brunswick Board of Health Monday night that attorneys are reviewing the language of the ordinance, attempting to work out the kinks.

Long last diplomas
