Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Duke University raises $308M for financial aid

President Richard Brodhead said Monday that the Financial Aid Initiative has raised $308.5 in new endowments since efforts began in 2005. More than 4,300 alumni, parents and friends contributed to establish 478 new scholarship and fellowship funds, and support 330 existing funds.

Laurean's home up for auction

The former home of a marine corporal accused of killing a pregnant colleague is going up for auction. Corporal Cesar Laurean's ranch-style house had an opening bid of about $102,000.
