Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Troubleshooters: Injured woman can't terminate gym membership

Plant expansion brings jobs to Brunswick County

More than two dozen new jobs will be coming to Brunswick County with the expansion of a fiber and resin plant in Leland. Dak Americas is a major producer of soft drink bottles, thermoforming and heat set containers.

Bradley Creek Elementary receives grant

Progress Energy donated $30,000 to a Chamber of Commerce program that gives money to teacher scholarships. This year's recipient was Ann Lineberry, physical education teacher at Bradley Creek Elementary.

Human remains found in Pender County

videoProgress Energy crews working at a construction site in Pender County have made a startling discovery: human remains. The sheriff's office says an employee was digging for electrical cables on a site off Sloop Point Road when he found a human skull.
