Cameron Art Museum announces winter programs

The Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington is kicking off the new year with a huge list of programming for children and adults.  The events include Martin Luther King holiday programming for kids, homeschooling help, painting classes, readings, yoga, and the return of Jazz@cam.

Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear looks to a world in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.  It is celebrating 25 years of providing case management, transitional housing, and emergency shelter to families in need.  The 25th Anniversary Celebration Low Country Boil has a happy hour, dinner, and entertainment from comedian Orlando Jones.  

Leland man upset with pool company

videoA Leland man is upset with a local pool company. Don Ruttan paid Tarheel Pools and Spas thousands of dollars to install his pool last year. Now, he's having problems, and says he can't get the company to do anything about it.

Tropical Storm Erin threatens Texas

Tropical Storm Erin is threatening to touch down Thursday in Texas and has caused the National Hurricane Center to issue a tropical storm warning for most of the Texas gulf coast.

Man's yard to be tested for pollution

videoNeighbors of a Winnabow man will soon know if the debris in his yard is polluting their water. Brunswick County attorney's sued the man a couple of months ago, claiming his backyard was a landfill. The attorney's biggest concern is neighbors' water wells could be polluted with toxins from debris that's been sitting in Phillip Rivers's yard for years.
