Weekend sports update

The season is over for the Carolina Panthers. The San Francisco 49ers advance in the playoffs. WWAY's Chasity Melvin was honored in Cary on Saturday by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association for being of the best athletes in the state. Saturday was the first day Duke, North Carolina & NC State all lost on the same day since 1996 in men's basketball. Both UNC Wilmington basketball teams continued their losing streaks this weekend. Whiteville took care of business against Lakewood. We had postgame reaction from both of those affairs.
