The UNC Wilmington-UNC Asheville game was tied at the half, but Buzz Peterson's squad prevailed in the end with an 8 point victory..... A handful of high school soccer squads from our region played second round state playoff games on Saturday. Based on the results we're now going to have a Wilmington vs. Wilmington matchup in the the third round of the state playoffs... It was only exhibition play, but UNCW hosted two basketball games on Saturday(men & women)... The upset of the day in ACC football occurred in Raleigh. Full story...
