On Tuesday night we featured highlights from Norfolk, Virginia. Old Dominion beat UNCW in men's basketball 81-64. KK Simmons returned to the court for UNCW after a brief suspension. UNC Tar Heel Stilman White attended the Hoggard-New Hanover game. We talked with White and we showcased the Vikings & Wildcats along with the Laney-Ashley matchup in Buctown. The girls game at Laney went down to the wire. On Thursday we also featured Topsail as our team of the week. The UNC Wilmington men's basketball team lost their focus and intensity in the second half against Delaware on Wednesday night. As a result the Blue Hens beat the Seahawks by 18 points. The Duke-North Carolina game was much closer. It turned out to be an instant classic. The Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame will grow in membership in May. We have the details. The UNC Wilmington men's basketball team snapped a four game losing streak on Saturday night against William & Mary. The Seahawks are now 9-14 overall and 5-8 in conference play. Suspended Seahawk KK Simmons attended the game. He cheered from the bench and watched the Seahawks shoot 71% in the second half. Full story...

On Thursday's sports on WWAY we featured the UNC Wilmington women's basketball team hosting nationally ranked Delaware. The 12th ranked Blue Hens beat UNCW 62-53. We also featured the West Bladen boys basketball team as this week's high school basketball team of the week. Full story...

On Wednesday night the Old Dominion Monarchs defeated UNCW at Trask Coliseum 53-48. Both teams were ice cold in the first half. The Monarchs shot 50% in the second half though. That turned out to be one of the differences as UNCW falls to ODU. We have highlights from this game on Wednesday's sports. The George Mason Patriots defeated the UNCW Seahawks on Monday night. It was the fourth win in a row for George Mason. Buzz Peterson's UNCW team returns home on Wednesday for a CAA game against Old Dominion at Trask Coliseum. Full story...

On Thursday night WWAY went to Durham in order to check out Wake Forest center Ty Walker.
